ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR COMPOSERS
Composers are, by their very nature, entrepreneurs, but most collegiate programs do not include courses covering the business side of being a composer. Questions related to managing and maximizing income are often left to their post-graduate education, sometimes only offered through The School of Hard Knocks. The courses offered by ADJ•ective New Music aim to remedy that with lesson topics that will help composers diversify their income streams and make the most of each.

JUMP START WEEKENDS
We know how hard it is to get the administrative side of being an artist done, so we're going to gather, learn, and get our websites ready to sell scores! Let's have a whole weekend to create systems that help us get our careers JumpStarted. Even better, let's do it in a community of composers.
Each Jump Start weekend will include a 50 hour sweep of meetings, new information, and work (and no we will not be on zoom for 50 hours... yuck). We'll meet on Friday over zoom after work hours, talk through the goals of the weekend and then get to work! Over the course of a weekend you'll not only get your work ready to make money, you'll develop a system to ensure that your catalog continues to earn for you well into the future!
Jump Start • Royalties — June 20–22, 2025
Jump Start • Website Sales — August 15–17, 2025
Both of these are open for registration. Future topics and dates will be announced on our social media pages. We aim to do 4 per year!
