Program Note

Resonance for Saxophone Ensemble was written for and premiered by the Ohio State University Saxophone Ensemble during the 2018 North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music. The work is an effort to make the saxophone ensemble a living echo chamber (as if it were written for a single pianist who holds the sustain pedal down for the entire work), creating morphing sound-clouds with amorphous colors and textures.
