Program Notes
Riddle Me was commissioned by Ensemble Decipher in 2021 as part of their SUNY Commissioning project supported by the first SUNY Performance, Creativity, and Curation Award. The work utilizes a layering of fixed media, spoken word, and live processed triggered sounds. Riddle Me mimics riddles from fiction and philosophy, Harry Potter, Twilight Zone, and Alice in Wonderland to create a sound world of friction and flight.
